Our purpose built open-plan offices in Dorking have recently been refurbished. We are located opposite the Sports Centre which offers a 6 lane 25m swimming pool, sports hall, gym, aerobics studio and café and Dorking Halls, which provides a range of facilities including a café, cinema, theatre and concerts.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic multi-tasker to join our busy but friendly Wellbeing team for a 6 month period.
This pivotal and diverse role coordinates the Free Access for County Sports people (FACS) and Complimentary Access scheme as well as the districts CCTV. In addition supports the Wellbeing Manager with the monitoring of the leisure centre contracts and other members of the team with key events including the high profile Specsavers Surrey Youth Games and the Arts Alive Festival.
The variety and diversity of the work in this role provides a great opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to gain experience in a multitude of areas including organising events, sports development, arts development and contract management.
You have had some general office experience and you may now be looking to take the next step in your career.
You must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in wellbeing and you will need to be passionate and committed to making a positive difference within the community.
You need to be able to work on your own initiative, be good at prioritisation, have excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working.
